The Pets´ Rescuers!

Written By: Brittany Miller, , English

On Saturday March 30th Kalidy Kia teamed up with Pets & People Humane Society, to host a puppy play date. We got the chance not only to interact with the animals but also to know more about their mission. So for this Blog we will talk about them, so more people get to support their work. They are a non-profit, no-kill humane society that rescues adoptable cats and dogs from municipal animal control facilities across the state of Oklahoma on the day they are to be euthanized. They provide a safe harbor for pets until they are adopted into responsible, loving homes.

RESCUING PETS

Our puppy play date was a success! The wonderful ladies from this society brought beautiful pets ready to get adopted. Many Families from Oklahoma spent time at Kalidy Kia playing and petting the cute puppies. Our Kalidy Kia staff had a blast sharing this time with our little fur friends and 4 of them were adopted! Kalidy is always supporting noble causes and this time was not the exception! We care about what happens in our community, and we care about the abandoned animals in our city. To raise Social Awareness is part of the Kalidy´s Culture.

Kalidy Marketing was here to catch the best moments, so here there are some pics of the amazing day!

ADOPTING A PET

HOW TO ADOPT FROM THE SHELTER

If you were wondering where and how you  may get one of these cute pets they may be viewed and adopted from the Pets and People shelter in Yukon seven days a week. The schedule is:
Monday through Sunday from 12:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

DOGS $130
CATS $85

The adoption fee includes:

  • All adult pets are spayed/neutered
  • Current rabies certification and tags
  • Microchipped
  • Current vaccinations
  • Tested negative for various diseases pertaining to their species
  • Wormed

Pets that are too young for altering come with a spay/neuter certificate that is redeemable for a spay/neuter procedure with a Pets and People participating vet. You are required, by contract, to fulfill this procedure when adopting a pet this age by either redeeming the certificate or by use of a personal veterinarian.
