Hello everyone! The Kalidy team is back to talk about our favorite topic: Food! Have you ever heard of brigadeiros? We hadn’t until recently, but now we’re hooked!
Brigadeiros are a traditional Brazilian dessert composed of butter, cocoa powder, condensed milk, and chocolate sprinkles.
Despite the modest list of ingredients, these things are more addictive than Girl Scout thin mint cookies ( a huge claim, I know.)
We were given these tasty treats by our friend Amanda! We love experiencing new cultures (especially when it’s in food format) and making Friends For Life every day!
HOW TO MAKE BRIGADEIROS
Cooking these delicious snacks is a pretty simple process, taking only about forty-five minutes from start to finish.
- 3 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp butter
Combine the cocoa, butter, and condensed milk in a medium sized saucepan, cook on medium heat for about ten minutes. What you’re looking for is the mixture thickening around that ten minute mark.
Now the hard part is done!
Just let it cool enough that you can handle it without burning your hands, then form it into balls!
NOW YOU’RE READY TO CHOW DOWN!
Good luck making your own brigadeiros and thank you for taking the time to check out our blog!
